While Smith admits that The Wachowskis are geniuses, although he didn't know it at the time because the directors were up-and-coming filmmakers who only made one movie before hitting it big with The Matrix. The filmmakers told Smith to envision himself as Neo in a fight scene, and that he would do a big jump and stop in midair while cameras all around him capture his jump. I hope one day you'll give the rest of it a chance to be part of your life.On Will Smith's YouTube Channel, the star explains how the Wachowskis (directors and creators of The Matrix) pitched the role of Neo to him for the 1999 feature. How does Morpheus simultaneously believe in freewill and blindly follow a path laid out by a prophecy? What is the meaning/mystery of the wall of tv's we see before the interrogation scene? Why is Neo, or any of the people connected to the Matrix, released in the the real world at all? Why aren't they killed the moment they wake up? I can't imagine having a mind that is curious enough to question if Neo is really talking to Morpheus in the construct (a solid observation btw) but apparently be ok with just accepting other pressing questions that can only be answered by opening yourself up to the full matrix universe. But I have to call this post out as having a major disconnect in it. I try very hard to be accepting of other's philosophies and I'm not big on calling people stupid because they don't think like I do. If newParamotorPilot is still reading let me say this. NewParamotorPilot please feel free to skip my comment. Thanks for being obsessed with this movie like I am lol Nothing more has to be saidĮdit: feel free to give comments that include analysis of further wachowski works. I'm just saying that the Matrix is all I need. I'm not saying anything bad about the sequels or the Wachowskis own reflection on their initial idea, considering I know nothing about it. I love you all, but don't bother citing anything but The Matrix in the comments. I haven't watched interviews, sequels, read the comic books or anything else. A true friendĪnd as with my other posts, I am drawing only from their masterpiece The Matrix. Didn't let him spin around even once after plugging him in. and then he dashed over to plug in and make sure Neo only turned 270 degrees before seeing him. ![]() LOL yea learning that your entire world is a lie would certainly feel a little weird. I think the Wachowskis did it like this on purpose to show just how committed Morpheus was to being as close to Neo as possible during this trying moment of learning. it takes 2-3 seconds to load the drives and that leaves 2-3 seconds to run over to his chair. Another give away is when you watch Neo get nauseous Morpheus is the last one to show up. That means when Neo saw him is when the drives finished loading for morpheus. ![]() But it is, and Morpheus had all 6 seconds to plug in because when you analyze Neo's field of vision as he turns around, you see that Morpheus was not behind him. ![]() At first I thought that's not enough time for Morpheus to plug in with him. The reason it was up in the air for me is because there is only a 6 second gap between when Neo's vision goes white and when he sees Morpheus in the construct. ![]() Maybe most of you already figured this out, but it's Morpheus himself.
